History

Grapevine is known for its restored 19th- and 20th-century buildings, many of which dot downtown’s Main Street, lined with restaurants, galleries and shops. The Cotton Belt Railroad District is also a draw, home to artisan work shops, including a blacksmith, glass-blowing studio, and a bronze foundry. The 1888 Cotton Belt Railroad Depot marks the beginning of the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.

Schools

The Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District is the public school district here, serving most cities in Grapevine and Colleyville as well as small parts of Euless, Hurst and Southlake. The district scores high marks in testing, graduation rates, student growth, and overall academics.

Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center

Texas culture at its finest, Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center sits on the shores of Lake Grapevine, boasting 4 1/2 acres of indoor gardens, 10 restaurants, water park, and two pools. It’s conveniently located near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, along with LEGOLAND, Grapevine Mills, and Cowboys Golf Club.

Proximity to DFW Airport

Speaking of the DFW Airport, Grapevine itself is about seven miles from the airport, taking just about 14 or so minutes to get there.
